This is it… the Lego Millenium Falcon 10179 set, it’s the dream of every Lego Star Wars fan. Weighting in at almost 25 pounds, measuring 25.7 x 7.6 x 18.9 inches, and 5195 pieces, the Lego 10179 is the biggest Lego Star Wars model ever made and noted as one of Lucas Licensing’s favorite Star Wars models of 2007. This iconic replica of Han Solo’s famous starship sports an incredible amount of detail from top to bottom. It is also the first set scaled to fit with all your favorite mini figures which is really cool! It comes with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Chewbacca, Princess Lei Organa and Luke Skywalker.

Lego Millenium Falcon 10179 Review
Although it can be great fun to build with your kids, or in my case the entire family, the Lego 10179 is not recommended for kids under the age of 16 as it will challenge even the most advanced Lego builders. However it is an incredibly fun set to build that will keep you busy for days! Alone, even on my second time building it, I spent over 20 hours to put this masterpiece back together, and I enjoyed every minute of it… again
What, did you really think I would only build it once?
As I was saying earlier, every detail of this famous Lego Star Wars vessel is packed into this model. It is a HUGE, prestigious, movie-accurate Lego Millenium Falcon. The ultimate center piece of any Lego or Star Wars fan! It has rotating quad-laser turrets at the top and bottom, an extendable boarding ramp, landing gear to use as a base to sit it on which I find very useful. You can even seat a crew of mini figures in the removable cockpit.
I must say that I find it disappointing that this set comes in almost 80 unidentified small bags. So a tip from me to you, if you decide to buy this Lego 10179 set, I suggest after your first build, when you decide to take it apart later on (why would you do that?) you separate the block into logical sections and identify them in ziploc bags if you don’t want to relive the original nightmare of looking for the right part surrounded by a messy pool of blocks
One other important thing to keep in mind is that the Lego 10179 is not a toy, it is far too big and heavy to “play” with, however it is great admiring in from all angles when it is resting on it’s sturdy feet, in my case, in my display case. This being said, I own several other Lego Ultimate Collector sets and this is the one that really gets people talking when they see my collection, really impressive. Also included in the box, besides the huge instruction booklets of course, is a special collector’s display card that shows off all the specs of this one of a kind Millenium Falcon.
Here is a video I found showing in pretty much all it’s detail this Lego Millenium Falcon 10179 set. And no I did not make this video, so credits to the guy who did:P

Lego 10179 Customer Feedback
I don’t want you to just take MY word for it of how awesome this set really is, so I gathered some real actual customer reviews from different sites, and boy it’s unanimous, this set is not rated 4.7 out of 5 stars for nothing!
By Ryan “I have been building LEGOs since I was a toddler in the early 1980s and this is hands down the most enjoyable set to build and play with. I recommend this to any fan of LEGOs and/or Star Wars.”
By Conrad “I have all the other ultimate collector sets and this one is by far my favorite.”
By Anonymous Kid “As for why you’d want to buy it, well, just look at it, it’s the Millenium Falcon. It’s awesome, it’s Lego, and it’s one of the coolest things you could have in your home.”
By Pompey “I have built it 3 times now and still enjoy it as much as the first time. I can honestly say you will not regret this purchase.”
Now the bad news…
The Lego Millenium Falcon 10179 is now an endangered species as it was discontinued on June 24th, 2010. Soon it will literally become, the impossible to find, Star Wars Ultimate Collector’s set… BUT, like I said earlier, if you don’t keep thinking about it for too long (like you probably have been for the last several months hehe) the Lego 10179 is still available on Amazon. Of course the price has gone up, and quantities are getting low, I’m not just saying that, you really can see the stocks dropping on Amazon, one of the last few places that still sell this soon to be priceless masterpiece.
So hey, you read what I had to say, it’s not too late if you have been wanting the Lego 10179 since it launched, but I do suggest you act quick if your serious for the reasons stated above. Either way, I hope you enjoyed my review, I am still loving my Lego Millenium Falcon 10179 and I hope you have as much fun with yours, as I did with mine.

Hi, my name is Gilbert and I created this Lego Millenium Falcon website for a couple of reasons, first of all I enjoy creating small sites like this and review products that I own (I guess that's the geek in me :P), second I am a HUGE Lego fan, and ...
