Lego Millenium Falcon 4504, My Detailed Review

The Lego Millenium Falcon 4504 is the third Star Wars Lego set to be released and is part of the Classic Star Wars line. It features the Hoth version of Han Solo’s famous starship which is seen in the movie “A New Hope”. With 985 pieces and measuring 3.8 x 15.1 x 22.6 inches, this iconic set weighs around 5 pounds and was a bestseller back in 2004.

Five of your favorite characters also come packed in the box along with the ship in the form of mini-figures: Chewbacca, C3PO (light pearl colored), a Snowtrooper, and the Hoth version of Han Solo and Princess Leia. Although not as large as some of the later sets in the Classic Star Wars line, the Lego 4504 set is definitely still considered a must-have for die hard collectors and Star Wars/Lego fans.

I was especially interested in checking out and reviewing this model as I heard that unfortunately, it has long since been discontinued by LEGO and is now considered a rare item. However, luckily Amazon still has a few Lego 4504 for sale, but they are disappearing very quickly and soon may be very difficult to find elsewhere. Anyways, on to the review! Below I will be outlining some of the nifty features of the Lego Star Wars 4504 set and some of the things that I enjoyed about it most, and some actual customer reviews, pictures, and a video will also be included so that you can see firsthand why people were so excited about the Lego 4504 set when it first appeared in 2004!

Lego Millenium Falcon 4504 Review

On par with the other models of the Lego Millenium Falcon, such as the Lego 10179, the Lego Millenium Falcon 4504 has an incredible amount of detail and really does closely resemble the one from “A New Hope” which we see when our heroes travelled to the planet Hoth. The thing that impressed me the most initially about the Lego Star Wars 4504 set was the amount of detail not only on the exterior, but also within the interior. The inside of the ship can be exposed by lifting up the triangular roof pieces which flip open outward, and after doing so, you can really see how everything inside the ship closely resembles the ship from the movie.

There are lots of hand tools that you can put on racks, and even a Hoth fatigue which you can put on the Han Solo mini figure by removing his hair. Besides that, some other extra cool stuff that I loved about the Lego 4504 set was the escape pod and the movable gun turret. There is also a ramp which you can lower by pushing the starboard hatch lid, and a swiveling cockpit which you can open to place mini figures inside.

The only thing that I wish was better with the Lego 4504 set was that the triangular roof pieces fall off less easily, and the entry hatch is similarly loose at times. The Lego Millenium Falcon 4504 however, is more of a collector’s item than a toy, and therefore is more fit for display on a shelf or cabinet.

Overall, the Lego Star Wars 4504 set was an excellent addition to my collection, and I enjoyed every minute of putting it together. If you too want to own this magnificent collector’s item, my advice to you would be to get it on Amazon before the last few items disappear. I myself had a hard time acquiring my own Lego 4504 set, so I know how difficult it is. But man, it was definitely worth it! That’s one more for the display cabinet.

This set is so amazing, I took the time to gather some real actual customer reviews from several sites, and boy this is a home run, it’s not rated 4.5 out of 5 stars for nothing!

Now the bad news…

The Lego Millenium Falcon 4504 is going extinct as it is no longer in production. Soon it will become a very hard to find Lego Star Wars set.. BUT, as I said earlier, if you stop thinking about it (like you probably have been for the last several months hehe) and act now, this model is still available on Amazon. Of course the quantities are steadily dropping, and the price is constantly rising, and I am not just saying that, you actually see the number left in stock on Amazon, one of the rare places that still have this soon to be priceless masterpiece.

So that is it, you read my review, now it is up to you, if you have been desiring this set since it came out, I suggest you move quickly for the reasons I just mentioned. Anyways, I hope my review was helpful, I know I am still enjoying my Lego 4504 every time I see it and I hope you are too (or soon will be!).
